What are order minimums?
An order minimum is the minimum dollar amount of items that grocery stores require to place an order online without an extra fee. Stores require an order minimum to account for order assembly and delivery costs; as their partner, Anycart must abide by those minimum requirements as well.
In order to checkout and place your order on Anycart, you must meet the order minimum total in your Cart.
We try to help you save as much possible on each purchase, so in checkout we try to apply any extra store coupons to eligible items. Occasionally, due to these extra store coupons being applied to items at checkout, the order subtotal in checkout (sum of the item prices only, before fees and tax) may drop below the order minimum.
In these cases, you may still place the order with the updated subtotal but will be assessed an extra $3.95 store fee labeled "Retailer service fee". If you do not wish to pay that store fee, simply add more items to your cart so the subtotal in checkout once again reaches the order minimum.
Out of stock items
You may wonder –– what happens if the final order total drops below the minimum due to out of stock items?
No fear! The order minimum is only required to place the order; the order will still be delivered even out of stock items cause the final total to drop below the minimum.
What is my store's order minimum?
Within the Anycart network of grocery stores, the order minimum amount required will depend on the store you are shopping from. For example, for the Safeway-Albertsons network of stores, the order minimum is $30.
Our best advice? Get an order started, see what the stores in your neighborhood require, and go from there!
Please note: For all orders using a promotional discount or credit, the order minimum is $35 for all stores.
